There have been good landings of mackerel from the Newlyn boats but the St.Ives boats have struggled recently. This should change in the very near future as traditionally the shoals move around the coast and migrate into St.Ives bay particularly from the start of June.
Local boats have also started to return good landings of line-caught pollack. Pictured is the "Sea Spray" from Newlyn who has landed some good catches recently and the quality of the fish has been exceptional.
The turbot season is now well upon us and these have proved popular in our Penzance shop. We have been fortunate enough to have a fantastic assortment of fish recently and on one day last week we had twenty-one different species of locally caught fish available.
We list on Facebook each morning ( Mousehole Fish) what we have available in our Penzance shop.
